Linguistic intelligence is the ability to learn and reproduce language, to construct meaning through words<\/strong> and to use them appropriately to express ourselves verbally and in written form. We use words to clarify a point of view, to memorise a fact and to express an emotion. And it may happen that our language unknowingly tells something about us or for us, as in the case of slips of the tongue<\/a><\/strong>. Or reveal uncertainty of thought or misunderstanding of reality.<\/p>\n

Error<\/a> is an important aspect in the construction of language. As children, we learn to speak by imitating others, using words learned in an unconventional way and constantly stumbling over the choice of verbs and correct pronunciation; here, too, it is clear that error is the proper human way of learning and progressing. A child\u2019s linguistic world also contemplates words invented originating from oversight. Every mistake<\/strong>, Rodari argued, contains the power of a story.<\/strong> The mistakes children make are functional errors, they allow them to learn faster than a child who uses only words he\/she has already heard, albeit responding to the proper rule. Likewise, we cannot learn a language without initially making mistakes. <\/p>\n

People endowed with linguistic intelligence have an active listening capacity<\/strong> which is marked by an interest in the functions of language: to convince, to stimulate and to transmit information<\/a>.<\/strong> Through language, information is transmitted and a relationship \u2013 of proximity or distance \u2013 is established between individuals. Understanding occurs when symbols and words are used that have the same meaning for individuals belonging to the same socio-cultural environment. For this reason, in multicultural contexts, errors are frequent due to misunderstandings and the different meaning that two different cultures attribute to the same word.<\/p>\n

Being able to express your emotions<\/a> in words, releasing and narrating anger, frustration and a feeling of failure helps us to shape our reality and mitigate emotional pressure. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
