{"id":2952,"date":"2021-05-04T17:54:33","date_gmt":"2021-05-04T15:54:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scuoladifallimento.com\/?post_type=avada_portfolio&#038;p=2952"},"modified":"2021-11-18T16:02:46","modified_gmt":"2021-11-18T15:02:46","slug":"time-management","status":"publish","type":"avada_portfolio","link":"https:\/\/www.scuoladifallimento.com\/en\/glossary\/time-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Time management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>From Greek \u03c4\u03ad\u03bc\u03bd\u03c9 \u201cI divide\u201d, \u201cI separate\u201d.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>How many times have we told ourselves that if we had more time to reflect on a certain question, problem or decision, we would have surely made a better choice? <strong>Many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scuoladifallimento.com\/en\/glossary\/error\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">mistakes<\/a> are made because the time we have for making a decision is too short<\/strong>, and if we are not able <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scuoladifallimento.com\/en\/glossary\/emotion-management\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to manage our emotions<\/a> well, they could influence our choices. Which is not always a bad thing, but it depends on the kind of decisions we have to make.<\/p>\n<p>Having only a short time available could be a problem due to poor activity planning and therefore we are forced to make a decision at the last minute. Or, it could be the established practice of a person we have to interact with \u2013 a teacher, a boss, a manager or a customer \u2013 wanting the job done \u201cyesterday\u201d. In these situations, it is easier to act on instinct guided by emotions and anxiety.<br \/>\n<strong>The mind will then find some shortcuts, forcing us into the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scuoladifallimento.com\/en\/glossary\/heuristics\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">heuristics<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scuoladifallimento.com\/en\/glossary\/cognitive-bias\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">cognitive biases<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Time management is therefore a useful skill and closely linked to the other skills: those regarding being able <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scuoladifallimento.com\/en\/glossary\/effective-communication\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to communicate well and clearly<\/a>, activity planning and avoiding procrastination so not to risk failing objectives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From Greek \u03c4\u03ad\u03bc\u03bd\u03c9 \u201cI divide\u201d, \u201cI separate\u201d.
