If information is inadequate and low quality we could, in both cases, fall into error. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Information management has now become a complex activity due to the volume of information that is generated each second of every day.<\/strong> For managing so much information, we need the ability to model and process it. With information overload, the mind does not have the computing power to create proper correlations between available data. If, by contrast, information is scares, it is likely that we will not have the data necessary for making a correct evaluation or good choice.<\/p>\n<p>The mind gives us a helping hand to get round this impasse: by filtering data when they are too many and delving into our memories when they are too few.<br \/>\nIn this way the brain processes mental constructs that it may harness in any situations and thus be able to rapidly arrive at a choice that could be wrong (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scuoladifallimento.com\/en\/glossary\/cognitive-bias\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">see bias<\/a>) despite having a lot of data at our disposal.<br \/>\nKnowing how to manage information is therefore an important skill. It is not only a matter of collecting and analysing information but also the ability to find a connection between the pieces of information, and to be able to store it to make it a source of common knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Only by sharing information can we mitigate the risk of repeating the same <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scuoladifallimento.com\/en\/glossary\/error\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">mistakes<\/a> over and over again.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Latin informare \u201cgive shape\u201d, \u201cinform\u201d, \u201cteach\u201d.
