PROCOURSES

proCOURSES for businesses, professionals and schools: our in-training offering addresses everyone, using an innovative and customisable approach based on specific needs. Just start and you’re already halfway there.

Scuola di Fallimento is the first school that has been created with the aim of building and spreading a healthy culture of failure, a culture in which failure is not experienced as an indelible mark and error is not considered a disabling social stigma, but a journey of self-discovery, of exploring our limits and talents.

Establishing and creating such an ambitious goal, aimed at overturning mental and cultural mindsets, also means encountering and transiting along new, untrodden and never predictable paths.
In a society where winning seems to be a categorical imperative, where failure is considered defeat, and the only way to be appreciated and recognised is to win at any cost, we believe that teaching and teaching ourselves to value defeat and how to manage it is a sine qua non.
We need a space where we can discuss opportunities, we think we have missed due to our mistakes, the unexpected opportunities that have arisen as a result of failure and to accept it as a natural event of life that is complex.
And Scuola di Fallimento wants to be this safe space, where we can build together a healthy culture of error by working on mindset and method.

If we don’t change the mindset, we use to view failure, then incentives for success will be useless. If mentality is important, so is the method.
We make the same mistakes because we don’t stop to analyse them by asking ourselves the right questions.
Remember: good questions, good answers; bad questions, bad answers.

CYCLE OF ERROR

CYCLE OF CHOICE

Our proCOURSE for individuals focussing on training skills leading to an anti-fragile mindset and adoption of responsible and informed decisions.

COURSES

The classes and courses for which you can enrol – both those fully designed and managed by Scuola and those organised in collaboration with our partners

This is why we offer events, showcase lessons and courses for groups (The Cycle of Error) or individuals (The Cycle of Choice), whether participants are corporate, professionals or schools.
And there is no shortage of special projects and individual growth modules, such as the course designed for Neets (Not in education, employment or training) or the Saint Valentine’s Scuola di Fallimento.

Our in-training courses contribute to developing an antifragile mindset and learning a method through which we can learn to dare, overcome the fear of failure, analyse errors, and accept failures, for making informed choices that lead to success and the achievement of our goals.

We use traditional, experiential and immersive and game-based methods which guarantee learning and full involvement of participants.
Training:

  • It is geared to specific targets, chosen topics and customised to suit recipient needs
  • It is metered in relation to the methods deployed (simulations, coaching, mentoring and game and improv theatre workshops)
  • It uses games as an in-training “disruptive” vehicle through which to measure error and failure and victory and defeat

Courses, including game-based ones, are designed to also be delivered remotely as webinars (collaborative training sessions via web). These courses are especially suitable whenever the target recipient group is large and geographically dispersed.

Thanks to working together with a number of partners, we have activated eLearning courses (remote asynchronous training sessions), also in the form of learning pills and microlearning.

Learning is an active process. It is through learning that we update our personal beliefs, that we modify our knowledge and our attitudes. Often winning doesn’t change our beliefs, but it strengthens them – that’s why we learn more from shortcomings than from strengths, more from our doubts rather than our certainties.

Furthermore, learning is not an automatic process, but requires the active participation of the learner.
It is not a linear process, but a complex one and for this reason we have developed 3 different learning methods which feature different approaches, techniques, goals and strategies.
Depending on the target recipient group, the context, the time available and the learning goal (more operational or more cognitive) to be achieved, one learning method will be adopted over the other options.

Each individual and group growth course is customized to best meet the learning needs of each recipient target.
Therefore, some learning methods are excluded in some contexts. But in others, it is possible to combine some of the proposed learning modules – with a view to integrating them – for creating a learning experience whose overall effectiveness will not be the simple sum of the single activities but the outcome of the combination of benefits offered by each method.

We also believe that the classroom delivery learning method will not disappear altogether but will evolve and supplement the opportunities offered by Digital Learning.

Why are our proCOURSES cutting-edge?

  • They leverage the fear of making mistakes: we are convinced that fear is not a feeling to be shunned, hidden or – worse – denied. Like all emotions, it needs to be understood, embraced and measured to be able to use it for serving our choices.
  • They leverage uncertainty: we are convinced that, in situations where transformation or transition plays a key role, leaders and businesses that come out on top are those that plan and act rapidly, with determination and proper preparation and effective communication.
  • They leverage vulnerability: we are convinced that we must not only focus on our strengths, but we need to genuinely embrace and share our vulnerability, as people and as professionals
  • They leverage our limits: we are convinced that we need not only to focus on our strengths, but we also need to know our limits to expand them or turn them into competitive advantages
  • They leverage complementarity: each in-learning course is co-managed by several tutors and instructors with a range of skills and soft skills
